James, Roskear Reviewers

Oliver and the Seawigs by Philip Reeve and Sarah McIntyre – review

James, Roskear Reviewers: 'I like this because it is about adventures, mystery and is also very funny'

Oliver goes on adventures with his mum and dad, but longs for a home. When this happens Oliver's parents mysteriously go missing. Oliver sets out to find them and meets a mermaid called Iris. Iris is short-sighted and cannot sing like the other mermaids.

His other friends on this adventure are: Cliff, the rambling isle and the albatross, Mr Culpepper. His enemies are: Stacey-de Lacey, who gets very upset when people tease him about his name, the sea monkeys, and the Thurlstone.

I like this because it is about adventures, mystery and is also very funny. My favourite part is when the sarcastic sea is nasty to everyone.

I would give this 5 stars out of 5, it's a great read.
