Gecko 100

Rendezvous in Russia by Lauren St John – review

Gecko 100: 'When things start going wrong rumours spread that the film set is cursed'

"Accidents do have a habit of happening, Laura Marlin, especially if you are of a heroic disposition and put yourself in harm's way"

When Laura Marlin's three legged husky, Skye, saves the life of an actress when a film stunt goes wrong, the bossy director Brett Avery literally forces him (the dog) to take part as the starring part of the actress's 'trusty' companion.

And so Laura Marlin and her best friend Tariq find themselves on a film set in St Petersburg in Russia. When things start going wrong, rumours spread that the film set is cursed. Tariq saves the snobbish actor in a carriage pulled by startled horses by running like the wind after it. But when one of the extras gets shot and drugged, Laura Marlin decides to investigate…
Does the mysterious deputy prime minister have something to do with the missing paintings? And why does he want to watch part of the filming?

I love this book because it is interesting, mysterious and I couldn't put it down! I recommend the whole series to anybody who loves reading and mysteries.
