Just William by Richmal Crompton – review

Just William was great. I really enjoyed it because it was very clever language and very funny. William might seem to you a very mischievous and annoying boy or a clever and very funny boy or both.

William is an 11 year old child who lives in a family called the Browns. William has an older sister Ethel, a brother named Robert and parents Mr and Mrs Brown.

William has friends known as the outlaws because lots of people are fed up with their naughty adventures.

In one story Robert is having a football party and he wants William to be the person to fetch the ball but William will only do it if Robert takes him to the Christmas pantomime. William falls in love with the actor who plays Princess Goldilocks, he tries to find her in a hotel but it all goes wrong.

It's very old-fashioned. I am quite surprised how children are allowed to play outside with each other whenever they want without asking.

This was a really good book and I think everyone should read it because it makes you laugh and the outlaws attempt to do lots of things.
