Hexed by Michelle Krys – review

XoXo, BOOK WORM_98: 'Fun, quirky, with just the kind of magic you've always wanted, Hexed is fun and serious, magical and normal and intriguing and spellbinding all at the same time!'

What's the last book you read about witches? Was it serious, set in the days of the past, or just a limited amount of magic? I assure you, I've read some from all of the above and let me tell you – Hexed is NOTHING like this – about a million times better!

Indigo Blackwood is popular – the looks; the quarterback, drop dead gorgeous boyfriend; the mean best friend; and a bunch of fake cheer buddies – yup she has it all! Except with the eccentric Wiccan mother and "I'm living life like I'm still 18" aunt and absentee father, that is!

Well, everything is filled to the brim with teenage debauchery until it's just not! Her mother hurt, her memory wiped (of course, she just doesn't remember it), her best friend getting together with her boyfriend and a mysterious, tattooed, sarcastic boy who just shows up at her doorstep – oh! – I'm forgetting – a mysterious witch hunter bible is now missing (which could potentially kill all the witches, world over)!

Think she's dealing with enough? She is going to find out if she is a witch in three days! And if she does turn, she will be right in the middle of a centuries–long battle between witches and sorcerers!

Twists and turns, *spoiler alert*, witch training, death, grief, love and the coolest kind of magic (think levitation and putting people into a movie) – Hexed always has a smile playing on my lips!

Fun, quirky, with just the kind of magic you've always wanted, Hexed is fun and serious, magical and normal and intriguing and spellbinding all at the same time! – Read it!
