Stella by Helen Eve – review

mmkannah: 'anyone who reads this book could relate to the story very well'

Of all the YA or teen books, this has to be the most realistic story that one will ever read. As most of the today's generation of teens seem to desire popularity, everlasting friendships and true love, anyone who reads this book could relate to the story very well.

It wasn't just about friends, love and popularity, it's also about common family issues, which makes it really realistic to read. Once you read Stella, you can see Stella's face, Caitlin's face, the story, how the characters move, what they do and what happens to them - and it will overflow and take over your mind! It's like an open book, that does not shows words, instead it shows imagination.

Stella is all about two girls, one a desirable girl, and the other one just lives a normal, comfortable life. As they both meet and cross paths, that's where the real starting point is, and the drama starts from here.

As Caitlin starts to live the social life her father was hoping for her, things don't go exactly to plan, as one social group she hopes to move into slowly falls apart. Caitlin was once before tested by the 'Stars' clique to see if she was compatible for the once-free spot in the group.

However, Stella isn't just someone who would let someone in easily, and things throughout her life weren't planned like this. Things had, until that point, been going smoothly for Stella, but then something unexpected happens and it's the start of the unraveling of the untold secret about her sister, and why her sister never wanted to Stella be like her.

The two struggle through a life where if you put a foot wrong, not only will you fall through a hole but both of you will sink to the bottom of the deepest ocean you've ever known.
