Raindrop

Penguin by Polly Dunbar – review

Raindrop: 'This book is one of my favourites because it's really funny, and is a really happy book'

This book is about a penguin and a little boy called Ben. Ben opens a present, and inside is a penguin. Ben tries to speak to the penguin but the penguin does not answer.

Penguin keeps on ignoring Ben and Ben feels sad. Then Ben tries to feed Penguin to a lion. Lion does not want to eat Penguin and this makes Ben shout. But then the lion eats Ben because he is being too noisy. Penguin bites Lion on the nose, which makes the lion spit Ben out.

After that Penguin and Ben become best friends.

This book is one of my favourites because it's really funny, and is a really happy book. I love the part where Penguin bites Lion on the nose. It makes me laugh.
