The Haunting of Tabitha Grey by Vanessa Curtis – review

Cookonthebrightside: 'Before I thought ghost stories were just about being scared but now I see that there is much more to them than that'

I loved this book so much. This book made me realise how much I love ghost stories. Before I thought ghost stories were just about being scared but now I see that there is much more to them than that.

The Haunting of Tabitha Grey is about a girl called Tabitha who has to move to Weston Manor because her Dad has got a job there as keeper. As soon as she arrives she realises there is something strange about the house. Her Dad asks her to take some photos of the manor for the website but when she does, she sees a sort of blur in the picture. Then eventually she sees the ghosts of people who used to live in the manor. The past and present are tied together in the ending which is quite shocking.

My favourite character is Tabitha because I think she is a lot like me and so I identify with her. We are both scared easily but she is good at dealing with the fact there are ghosts at Weston Manor.

This is a great book, with lots of tension and drama. I would recommend it to anyone who doesn't mind a sad ending.
