War Horse by Michael Morpurgo – review

Holly: 'I felt lucky we don't live in a war'

This is a tragic story of war and death. A young boy called Albert gets a horse called Joey and they live happily until the First World War starts. Then all the trouble begins. Joey gets sent away to work in the war with other horses. Then his best friend dies.

It made me feel really sad and I felt lucky we don't live in a war.
