It's an all-dancing Hull Truck as you've never seen it before. In the steamy cavern that is the Belle Angèle performance space, four women jump straight into action: another surprise, considering the subject of the piece - Euro 2000's football hooliganism. Dressed to kill in dark suits, they chat on phones and type, then move into the androgynous street-dance style made famous by Michael Jackson in his Thriller video. Their faces have that same ghoulish look - all white with burnt-black vampire eyes. Their shoulders pop with brute maleness, their eyebrows are arrogant. Pumping testosterone, the gang set off on their trip to France. Occasional bursts of smoking, drinking and match-play tell us where we are.
Lucy Cullingford's choreography is brash and to the point. Andy Wood's soundtrack layers loud beats, clattering cafes and cheering crowds. It's good but a tad predictable: we know it will end in tears, and it's no surprise when a victim lands on the floor jerking from a beating. Though performed with agility and pop-video punch, this 40 minutes stops short of being fab.
