Potter takes all-time international third place

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone is now the third biggest grossing international film of all time. Warner Brothers confirmed yesterday that the movie has taken more than $500m (£344m) outside the US. With an international weekend haul of $30.15m (£20.8m) and a worldwide running total of $811m (£559m), Christopher Columbus's adaptation continued its rapid rise to box office glory.
