Rachel

The Secret Countess by Eva Ibbotson – review

Rachel: 'There is not one moment that I will tire reading this book'

When Anna, a young countess, is ripped from her home because of war she goes and seeks refuge from the Lord's home nearby. While Anna is starting to get the ropes of being a servant someone is watching her. As Anna starts falling in love with the Lord she finds it more and more difficult to keep her identity a secret.

This is beautiful and enchanting. There is not one moment that I will never tire reading. It is a magnificently written book about true love and friendship. I think girls and boys from the ages 12-18 will love it.
