Pirated copies of the Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers are circulating in the UK. The perfect copies are apparently cloned from special Oscar screening discs. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the DVD's include a "for your consideration" Oscar message that pops up frequently.

Johnny Depp is to star in Secret Window : Secret Garden, which is based on a Stephen King novella. David Koepp, who wrote the screenplay for Spider-Man, will direct Depp in his own adaptation of the film. The story is about a recently divorced writer who's accused of having stolen his best idea for a story.

Moulin Rouge and Chicago have given studios the musical bug. Following the huge success of the two pictures, studios are looking for other musicals to be given the big screen treatment. Now Columbia is said to be considering a version of Bye Bye Birdie.
