Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone

Harry becomes the youngest member of Gryffindor's Quidditch team in almost a century. In his first match against Slytherin, Harry is nearly knocked off his broom when Professor Quirrell puts a spell on it. In the end, however, Harry is the hero, catching the Snitch and winning the game for Gryffindor House.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

The match in the second book is also Gryffindor versus Slytherin. Harry wins the game by catching the Snitch and managing to land but one of the Bludgers breaks his arm. Lockhart, the Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher, tries to mend the broken bones, but instead manages to remove them. Harry has to spend the night in the hospital wing, having 33 bones regrown.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

Dementors stray on to the pitch in the first game, causing Harry to be hurled off his broomstick at the same time as the Hufflepuff Seeker catches the Snitch and wins the match. After his Nimbus 2000 is destroyed, Harry is sent a brand-new Firebolt broomstick, which he rides in the second match against Ravenclaw. Harry catches the Snitch easily, winning the match.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

Harry goes with Ron to watch the World Cup match, Ireland v Bulgaria. This match is unusual, in that although the Bulgarian Seeker, Viktor Krum, catches the Snitch, Ireland manage to score more points, meaning that, in the end, Ireland win.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

The Quidditch action hots up with the most controversial match so far. Harry's best friend Ron joins the Gryffindor team. In their first match against Slytherin, Harry plays a blinder, but trouble breaks out when Draco Malfoy taunts Ron, and his older brothers, Fred and George, about their family's poverty.
