Sarah, and James aged 6

H.O.R.S.E. by Christopher Myers – review

Sarah, and James aged 6 'James loved coming up with his own crazy shots - the more surreal the better!'

H.O.R.S.E is a picture book which mixes up basketball and the imagination.

Two boys playing basketball compete to describe the most amazing winning shot. Balls bounce off of buildings, fly into space and zoom around the world.

James liked the simple illustrations and the zany game of imaginative one-upmanship.

Some of the technical basketball terms meant nothing to him and the language is very American.

However he loved coming up with his own crazy shots - the more surreal the better.

A great book to get a child thinking imaginatively!
