Jennifer and Minnie, aged 1

The Pirate House by Rebecca Patterson – review

Jennifer and Minnie: 'Minnie loves this book and I mean really loves it; requests it morning, noon and night.'

Minnie loves this book and I mean really loves it; requests it morning, noon and night.

The drawings are very good. Minnie likes identifying (pointing) at all the animals and things that she can recognise; there is a lot going on so it keeps her busy and she finds something new everytime we read this.

I like this book, but the wee lad Sam Turner is going to end up with an ASBO soon if he doesn't stop harassing the neighbours! Kids playing out on the street making up stories about their neighbours. I enjoyed it, even for the novelty value of young children playing out unsupervised! Those where the days!
