Awesome Charlie

Will Grayson, Will Grayson by John Green and David Levithan – review

Awesome Charlie: 'It kept me occupied for a few hours and changed my perspective on life as a whole'

I picked this book up because it is written by my two favourite authors, so I assumed it must be a good book. Luckily I assumed correct. Will Grayson leads an ordinary life, and so does Will Grayson. When they meet in an unlikely venue in unlikely circumstances, they don't become best friends like you'd assume. Their paths cross in a different way, both of them falling in love. This leads to the best high school musical the world has ever seen.

This book has to be one of my favourites. I'm glad I picked it up and decided to read it. It kept me occupied for a few hours and changed my perspective on life as a whole. Just as soon as you think you know whats going to happen, something else happens, which keeps the story interesting and keeps you reading. The beginning of the book is slightly tedious and its takes a while to get in to, but it didn't put me off reading it.

I would rate this book an 9/10, with the only fault being the beginning. I would recommend this book to over 12s as it has unsuitable content. Overall I really enjoyed reading it and will without a doubt read it again very soon.
