We Were Liars was breathtakingly brilliant, which left me with no regrets deciding to read it.

We Were Liars follows the Sinclair family. They are perceived as beautiful and perfect, however throughout the many twists and shockers this book contains, we realise all isn't as it seems.

Lockhart tells this story perfectly through the perspective of the main character Cady, using a unique writing style, which compliments the plot perfectly making you hungry for more and leaving your mind hectic with many ideas. The ending is utterly mind blowing, and regardless of the many hints the author gives, you will never guess the ending.

From character development, to plot, this book is superb and I would highly recommend it.
