This book was definitely the best one I've read so far this year. There's no doubt it'll be in my top three for this year, and it is highly likely it'll be number one. It was phenomenal; the concept, the characters, the storyline and the actual writing were all fantastic and I can't wait to get onto book two.
It's based in a dystopian world which is split into five factors: erudite, candor, amity, abnegation and dauntless. The main character is sixteen year old Beatrice Prior, who lives in abnegation, the selfless, grey faction. Her choosing ceremony is coming up and when she gets unexpected results in her tests that decide which one she belongs in most, she does something very unexpected...
This book is for thirteen and up, seeing as you have to be quite mature to read it, as well as it containing some confusing story lines. It's great for fans of the Hunger Games, due to its dystopian nature and love interests and, if I had to rate it, I would give six out of five.
