Little Darlings by Jacqueline Wilson – review

lilybelle: 'I had a feeling that there were still things to be said and done and maybe more secrets to be revealed'

This story is about Destiny Williams, an amazing singer who lives in a flat with her mum, Kate and Sunset Kilman, daughter of famous popstar Danny Kilman and gorgeous model mum.

When for Destiny's birthday, her mum buys tickets to London to a film premiere, including the amazing Danny himself, Destiny discovers the truth about her dad. After disaster strikes, Destiny meets Sunset and shares a great friendship with her.

Following this event, they both get their fair share of worries and troubles... but when they meet again, they'll be the Little Darlings.

I really enjoyed this story and it inspired me a lot, although I would have liked to know much more about the ending; I had a feeling that there were still things to be said and done and maybe more secrets to be revealed. I liked the way that it was told from both Destiny and Sunset's points of view. I love their names and can't understand why they can't stand them. I admired Sunset's Wardrobe City, and wished I had the same. I'd rate this book 9/10, because, as I said, I'd have liked to know more about the end.

I'd recommend this book to over 9 year olds.
