Flora Fox is an average 12 year-old who is about to start boarding school and she's not happy about it!
Mysteriously a magic spell has spun Flora into the past, swapping lives with another Flora Fox, who's from 1935! No iPod! No mobile! No Hair products! Freezing cold showers! How can up-to-date Flora survive?!
Now Flora's a new girl at tally-ho-tastic St. Winifred's, where she has to speak French at breakfast, wear hideous bloomers and sleep in a stone-cold dorm! But the past isn't as bad as she thought! But what if she never returns to the twenty-first century? Will she ever find out how to return where she belongs?
I thought this book was funny, enjoyable and realistic. You'll be certain to get lost in Flora's story because this is such a good book! I would recommend this book to 8-12 year-olds. The only thing I didn't like was the poor French spelling.
