This was so utterly boring that to compare itself to J M Barrie's Peter Pan was like saying, Oh look I've bought you a pony for Christmas... Oh wait no I haven't here have this bit of fluff I found in my pocket, that's like a pony!
It's books like this that make me despair and also give me mild hope that any time I decided to churn out some children's twaddle I would instantly get published.
It's dull - really, really dull - oh look at my shadow, wow it's big, oh now it's not, there - wait - there it is again... Riveting.
None of us enjoyed it.
