Again! by Emily Gravett – review

Gina, Evie and Isobel: 'The pictures tell the majority of the story so each reader is able to interpret it slightly differently'

I love Emily Gravett's illustrations – they have such character, simplicity and attention to detail.

This is another slightly quirky story with a surprise ending and it starts right from the inside cover page where you see the young dragon getting ready for bed and his bedtime story.

Like many other of Gravett's books, the pictures tell the majority of the story so each reader is able to interpret it slightly differently, enabling my three-year-old to tell me her own version of the story.

Both my girls (3 and 1) really enjoyed this book. They now do great impersonations of roaring dragons and every bed-time story is greeted with "again! like the dragons!!!"

I also do a great impression of the increasingly tired Mummy dragon.... I think this book will definitely grow with them, and is already a favourite.
