Ahoy me hearties! It's International Talk Like a Pirate Day, and the perfect opportunity to celebrate all things timber shivering.
Last year we asked you to tell us about your favourite swashbuckling books, and it's a diverse bunch. From John Ryan's Captain Pugwash series to Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Island, pirate books have proved eternally popular and cross generations with more ease than a galleon on the seven seas.
We'd love to add to that list so that pirate-mad kids have more great books to choose from than gold in a treasure chest. Email any more suggestions to us at childrens.books@theguardian.com. We'll add them to this page. Savvy?
