Orcacrazy

The Wreck of the Zanzibar by Michael Morpurgo – review

Orcacrazy: 'It seems all hope is lost, until the Zanzibar is wrecked on the island, and everything changes...'

It's about a boy called Michael who's Grandma has died, and left him her childhood diary. In the diary her life on the Scilly Isles is bleak and boring. But her heart is broken when her twin brother, Billy, sails off to America. As if that wasn't enough, a devastating storm blows off roofs, kills the only working cows, and washes up turtles. It saddens the whole island, as not one house has survived intact. It seems all hope is lost, until the Zanzibar is wrecked on the island, and everything changes...
The Wreck of the Zanzibar is a great book for people who like an emotional book that makes you think. I really enjoyed this book and I wanted to turn the pages to solve the mystery of the Scilly Isles.
