Tigerwatcher

Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats by TS Eliot – review

Tigerwatcher: 'I give this classic book 2 out of 5 stars as it is enjoyable but very hard to understand in some parts.'

This classic book of cat poems written in old fashioned language may look a tad boring at first glance. I have to admit that some of it is, but there are some good poems like Mungojerrie and Rumpelteazer (2 mischievous cats), Old Deuteronomy (who's very respected) and Macavity (a cat-burglar). All the poems have a steady rhythm to them especially the Jellicle Cats. I give this classic book 2 out of 5 stars as it is enjoyable but very hard to understand in some parts.
