My absolute best book I've read this year is The Dream Dealer. I've read it five times so far and each time I still get nervous about what is going to happen and I find out new things I hadn't noticed before.

The story is about a boy called Finn who doesn't know anything about his mum because his dad won't talk about her. Finn is quite lonely, he has a pet mouse called Hercules and the other kids are mean to him except Delphi, who is new at the school. But then the Dream Dealer parks near the school in his Ice Dream van and has the answer to everyone's problems. He's a bit scary but he is also cool and you can see why the kids like him. In the end he is the only one who can help Finn find his mum or that's what he says.

You never know what's going to happen next. It is very, very tense and exciting but it does have a happy ending.
