Marking the centenary of the birth of the outlandish "stately homo", this celebration of Crisp's life features performances by those who knew and worked with him. There will be a special "Queen's telegram" on the day and an appearance from Bette Bourne, who will perform extracts of his one-man show Resident Alien, based on Crisp's work. Biographers Paul Bailey and Andrew Barrow will examine his work as a writer, while his great nephew gives insight into his familial relationships. There is also a Quentin look-alike contest and a screening of scenes from forthcoming ITV drama An Englishman In New York, starring John Hurt as Crisp.
