The manufacturer says: "Devised by a primary schoolteacher, this series of games is ideal to help children learn some of the trickier aspects of English grammar. The four packs are Homonyms; Collective Nouns; Proverbs; Antonyms and Synonyms."
Rachel Poulton, KS2 teacher, Yerbury Primary School, London, N19, says: "These cards provide a fun way for KS2 children to learn about difficult grammatical concepts. Homonyms are a current target within my class, so this resource was perfect. We used the cards in groups of four or five during the literacy hour. It was quite a challenge for the children to make sense of the limited instructions and I had to adapt the games a bit. However, every single child was able to give answers and it got very noisy! The cards have real scope; you could use them to play 'find a partner' with the whole class, while higher-ability children could devise their own games. It is a versatile resource which is good value for money. The children thoroughly enjoyed using it. Afterwards they told me they didn't even realise they were learning!"
