This is a lusciously illustrated and well researched list of fantastic routes that all start at the sea and end at the sea.
Walks range from the classic Wainwright's Coast to Coast (across from St Bees in Cumbria to Robin Hood's Bay) to one from the Bristol Channel to the Irish Sea and another from the Scottish side of the Solway up and across to Edinburgh.
The photographs, of course, are all taken with everything looking beautiful. But it is also very practical with, apart from the lyrical bits which go on a bit, lists of essential information, maps and guides, and tourist info numbers. The maps are fine as a general guide but you would need OS maps to make it work. And anyway, you would not take this book with you - it's too heavy and glossy. Leave it on the coffee table.
